Here's the plan for Saturday, Jan 3rd at the Gun Show:

1. One-day admission to the show is $8.00. A two-day pass is $12.00.

2. If you're joining us on Saturday MORNING, we'll be meeting up between 9:45 and 10:00 am in front of the main entrance to Dallas Market Hall. (Look for the "North Texas Gun Owners" sign and/or my shiny bald head.)

3. If you're joining us on Saturday AFTERNOON, the plan's the same, except we'll be meeting up between 1:00 and 1:15 pm.

4. If you'll be joining us for lunch at the Original Market Diner, please let me know you'll be there so I can give the waitstaff a headcount. We'll be meeting up at the diner between 11:45 and 12:00 noon. (map here : )

Looking forward to seeing y\'all there!

The North Texas Gun Owners Association would like to thank everyone who attended our recent Tailgate Meet ‘n’ Greet at Target Masters in Garland, TX.  In today’s climate of constant attacks on our 2nd Amendment rights, it is always refreshing to spend time with others understand and believe in the self-reliance of gun owners for our personal protection.

Moving Forward - Your Input Will be Vital

Going forward we have some important decisions to make on how to grow our organization.  First, we would like to solicit opinions on how we should grow the organization.   We are interested in thoughts on the general direction of our group, how to coordinate with other organizations, meetings, and volunteers to help us further the initiative.  As gun owners, I think we are all on a similar page on our commitment to protect our rights, however, the logistics of growing this group into an effective tool to further that commitment is where we are right now.

Our Next Event

In order to help stimulate this discussion, we are working on a public meeting in early-to-mid January.    We will follow up soon with a specific time and place, along with a specific meeting agenda.  In the meantime, please share your own thoughts as to what you would like to see this group become and what items you might like to see on the agenda.

Online Resources

For now, we would like to remind you of some resources that are already in place:

www.tsra. com --  Texas State Rifle Association’s website. – NRA’s Legislative Action website – great site for tracking your representatives activities both at a state and federal level

A group of North Texas Gun Owners got together at Targetmaster on December 6th, 2008 for fellowship, food and firearms.

As near as we can tell, a great time was had by all.
